Dermal Filler Treatments
Sun exposure is the main contributing factor of ageing. Our lifestyle also plays an important role. The dermal fillers used by Dr Nick Sinden are natural facial volume restoring agents called Hyaluronic Acid (HA). HA is found in young skin and can be thought of as the skins internal moisturiser. With time the HA diminishes and the lines of ageing appear. Hence, by replacing the HA into the skin, it acts as a sponge attracting water and expands and fills the lines that appear with age.
Dermal fillers can be used alone or in a combination treatment with anti-wrinkle injections to restore facial volume and reduce the signs of ageing.
Areas treated are the lines between the nose and mouth, the lip border and the lines from the corners of the mouth. These filler treatments can last up to a year.

What happens during a consultation and treatment?Your consultation is as bespoke as your treatment; in your own home, our clinic or at one of our affiliated salons. We will discuss how dermal fillers work and how they can be used to restore the volume to the lines of your face, creating a natural, youthful look.
Dr Nick will explain the procedure and you can go ahead at that time if you wish or can return at a later date for treatment. You decide. The consultation lasts around 30 minutes and another 45 minutes should you decide to go ahead with the filler treatments.
Treatment results can be seen immediately. Local anaesthetic cream will be used to reduce any discomfort during the treatment. Some fillers do have local anaesthetic in them to further reduce discomfort. Following the treatment you may have mild swelling, bruising, redness and firmness of the skin. These effects are short-lived and normally settle within a week. It is important to consider this if you are having filler treatments prior to a special occasion, we recommend treatments 3-4 weeks prior to such occasions to ensure you truly look your best.
Comprehensive post-procedure aftercare advice will be provided.
